The Book of Allah the Almighty is the most important thing to learn and to teach
Sayyid Ar-Rifa'i Al-Husseni: The Book of Allah the Almighty is the most important thing to learn and to teach…
The prophet (prayers and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "The best among you is the one who learns the Quran and then teaches it." [Al-Bukhari]
«خَيرُكم مَن تعلَّم القرآنَ وعلَّمه»البخاري
And one of the Righteous people (may Allah have mercy on him) said: (Teach your child the Qur'an, and the Qur'an will teach him everything!!)...Allah is Great!
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wathakker Islamic center; Al-Shaykh Fouad bin Sayyid Abd-Ar-Rahman Ar-Riffa'i Al-Husseni said in a press statement commenting on the suggestion that was presented by what is called (A group of educational consultants)…called group of educational paths!
They submitted a proposal to make the Subject of the Holy Quran as a subject that doesn’t affect success.
And they tried to deceive the Muslims regarding this matter by saying that it enters in the GPA of the student in high school!!
Which indicates that the holy Quran doesn’t come first for them!! The Quran that we should teach our children and the upcoming generations…
In other words: It’s a first step toward marginalizing this subject, which is the most important subject for the Muslim!
Sayyid Ar-Rifa'i said that: the pervious suggestion was rejected by most educators, mentors, and school administrators in the Ministry of Education…
(May Allah the Almighty reward them good)
But the question at hand here is:
What kind of advisory committee that submitted such proposal?!!
What are their names??
Sayyid Ar-Rifa'i added: There are many concerns regarding the current reality of education in our schools and our society...
But that does not prevent expressing some advice and guidance to avoid further drowning and falling into the abyss!!
If it was up to me I would have cancelled a lot of the subjects that contradicts with shar’ (Islamic Law) of Allah the Almighty, for example: The subject called constitution, what is called greeting the flag!, Music, some types of drawing, and every information that contradicts the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of his prophet (prayers and peace of Allah be upon him)..
And I would have given the utmost importance and the biggest portion of time to teach the book of Allah the Almighty and the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad, prayers and peace of Allah be upon him and his family…For these two sources are what changed the unsuccessful Arab nation into the best Nation produced [as an example] for mankind.
And Finally Sayyid Ar-Rifa'i Al-Husseni said: The old saying goes: “Teaching at a young age is like carving on the stone.” So if our children didn’t learn the book of their Lord the Almighty in their childhood while they are still young, when then should they learn it?!!
Or do the so-called consultants or experts wish to graduate a generation that doesn’t have anything left from the revelation; not from the book nor the Sunnah!! (To Allah we belong and to him we shall return)
But what made me feel optimistic was that the proposal was categorically rejected, which indicates the existence of officials at all levels who wants good for our children and our nation. May Allah the Almighty reward them good. And we support them and ask them to work on purifying the education curriculum from all that is connected to shirk (association others with Allah) or disbelief or sins.
And we pray for the so called education paths committee with guidance, wisdom and correct vision.
And Sayyid Rifa’i concluded his statement saying:
We thank bother Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf the Minister of Education on his good stand, where he resolved the committee and cancelled the proposal. We ask Allah the almighty to inspire him to cancel all that contradicts with the law of Allah...whether it was in the education curriculum or in the actual educational process in the schools and institutes. And may Allah make this on his scale of good deeds. He is the All Capable to do so!
Oh Allah guide my people for they don't know...Have I not conveyed the message? O Allah! Be my witness...
